Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} </style> <![endif]  Kỷ niệm 64 năm cách mạng tháng Tám, Quốc khánh 2-9 và 40 năm thực hiện Di chúc của Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh, tôi nhớ tới một lão thành cách mạng mà từ mùa thu ấy đã cống hiến cả cuộc đời cho Đảng cho dân.

Cụ Hoàng Văn Đạo ở tổ 4 (Tình Quang), phường Giang Biên, Long Biên, Hà Nội, sinh ra trong một gia đình nông dân, tháng 5-1945 Cụ tham gia cách mạng làm Bí thư thanh niên kiêm tự vệ chiến đấu thôn. Lúc này, phong trào cách mạng ở Gia Lâm, Bắc Ninh đã phát triển mạnh, đâu đâu cũng vang lên các bài hát : “Tiến quân ca”, “Diệt phát xít”, “Cùng nhau đi hồng binh”... Đội tự vệ có 32 chiến sỹ được hướng dẫn tập đội ngũ, bắn súng, tập trận ngay trên bờ đê. Sáng sớm ngày 18- 8 -1945, Đội do cụ Hương Bảng chỉ huy, cụ Đạo làm chỉ huy phó được trang bị một khẩu súng mút-cơ-tông, 15 mác và kiếm, còn lại là vũ khí tự tạo tập trung tại cầu Hàng Cộc, rồi nhập vào đoàn quân khởi nghĩa từ Kim Sơn, Đặng Xá, Hội Xá tiến về phủ lỵ Trường Lâm (Việt Hưng) bao vây, buộc Tri phủ Nguyễn Ngọc Kiểm tập trung lính nghe Việt minh tuyên truyền. Trước khí thế áp đảo Tri phủ Kiểm đã giao nộp ấn tín, sổ sách và bảy khẩu súng cùng đạn dược. Ta tuyên bố giải tán chính quyền tay sai Nhật - Pháp ở Gia Lâm, cho Tri phủ cùng nha lại, lính tráng trở về quê. Cả đoàn người vui mừng giơ cao dao, kiếm, cùng gậy gộc hô to: “Việt minh muôn năm”, “ủng hộ Chính phủ Cụ Hồ”...

Dự lễ tuyên ngôn độc lập ngày 2-9-1945, thôn Tình Quang đi hơn 60 người, trên yêu cầu ăn mặc gọn gàng, quần áo nâu, thắt đai ở ngoài, ai có vũ khí gì mang theo cái đó, và mang 3 nắm cơm. Huyện Gia Lâm tập trung ở gần cầu Chui từ 1 giờ chiều ngày mùng 1. Ai cũng náo nức chỉ mong mau đến quảng trường Ba Đình. Nhưng sang tới phố Hàng Đậu thì trời tối, cả đoàn được lệnh dừng lại ăn cơm và nghỉ đêm. Lần đầu tiên những người nông dân ngoại thành được dùng nước máy. Ai cũng vốc nước lên mặt, lên cổ, có người để nước chảy ướt cả mái tóc, ngực áo mà đùa vui thích thú. Sáng 2 - 9, đoàn đi dọc phố Quán Thánh đến đầu đường Thanh Niên bây giờ thì nghỉ để ăn cơm trưa, sau đó mới vào vị trí tập kết tại quảng trường Ba Đình.

Người từ các nơi dồn về đây như nước chảy. Cả một biển người, bên trên là rừng cờ đỏ sao vàng. Đoàn của huyện Gia Lâm đứng ở phía dưới nhưng chính giữa kỳ đài. Hai giờ chiều, Ban tổ chức yêu cầu đồng bào ổn định vị trí để buổi lễ được bắt đầu. Quân nhạc cử bài “Tiến quân ca”, một lá cờ đỏ sao vàng lớn từ từ kéo lên, cả biển người im lặng trang nghiêm. Nghe Bác Hồ đọc tuyên ngôn độc lập, nghĩ mình là thân phận nghèo hèn được chứng kiến những giây phút trọng đại thiêng liêng quá, ai cũng rưng rưng, miệng hô “xin thề” mà nước mắt cứ trào ra.

Năm 1947, cụ Hoàng Văn Đạo được kết nạp vào Đảng rồi làm Bí thư chi bộ xã. Tháng 11-1948, cụ về Ban Kinh tế Đảng bộ tỉnh Bắc Ninh, cho tới năm 1951 cụ chuyển công tác lên Ngân hàng Trung ương Nhà nước Việt Nam, nghỉ hưu năm 1986. Với cụ những ngày tham gia khởi nghĩa dành chính quyền và Quốc khánh 2 - 9 đã khắc sâu trong tâm trí, như ngọn lửa sưởi ấm, động viên trên mỗi bước đường công tác.
