quyết thắng, được tặng thưởng hai huân chương Chiến công hạng nhất, 6 lượt tập thể và cá nhân được tặng huân chương Chiến công hạng ba, nhiều lần Thủ tướng Chính phủ, Bộ Công an, UBND TP Hà Nội tặng bằng khen. Trung tá Nguyễn Đức Minh, Đội trưởng đội chính trị - hậu cần cho biết: 

• Là lực lượng đấu tranh trấn áp tội phạm, giữ gìn an ninh trật tự, bảo vệ cuộc sống bình yên cho nhân dân, những năm qua, công an quận đã gắn mọi hoạt động với các phong trào thi đua kỷ niệm các ngày lễ lớn, những sự kiện chính trị và các cuộc vận động: Xây dựng lực lượng công an nhân dân vì nước quên thân, vì dân phục vụ, Học tập và làm theo tấm gương đạo đức Hồ Chí Minh. Đặc biệt công an quận còn có chủ đề “Công an lắng nghe ý kiến của dân”, “Mỗi ngày làm một việc tốt vì nhân dân. Làm cho dân tin, dân yêu, dân ủng hộ là trách nhiệm và vinh dự của mỗi cán bộ chiến sĩ công an”... Mỗi một phong trào, toàn thể cán bộ, chiến sĩ, đảng viên đoàn viên của 18 đơn vị công an phường và đội đều được quán triệt học tập chu đáo, nhất là 11 điều cán bộ, chiến sĩ không an không được làm, sau đó đề ra các chỉ tiêu rèn luyện, phấn đấu của cá nhân và tập thể. Định kỳ sinh hoạt chi bộ, đơn vị, các đoàn thể liên hệ rút kinh nghiệm, tập trung vào ý thức tổ chức kỷ luật, tinh thần trách nhiệm và thái độ phục vụ nhân dân. Qua đó, lực lượng công an tiến bộ toàn diện, các đội đều hoàn thành tốt nhiệm vụ.

Trong 7 năm thực hiện Luật Phòng chống ma tuý, Đội điều tra tội phạm về ma tuý đã phối hợp với các lực lượng và nhân dân phát hiện, bắt giữ 703 vụ với 993 đối tượng có hành vi buôn bán, vận chuyển, tàng trữ và tiêu thụ trái phép chất ma tuý, thu giữ 16,1kg thuốc phiện, 5,698kg hê-rô-in, 50.100 tép hê-rô-in, 1.115 viên hồng phiến, trên 650 triệu đồng, 135 xe máy, 165 chiếc điện thoại di động. Tại các phường, nhân dân tham gia đấu tranh, xoá 45 điểm, bắt 78 đối tượng tội phạm ma tuý, đưa 950 trường hợp đi cai nghiện, nay có 368/450 tổ dân phố không có người nghiện ma tuý mới. Đội điều tra hình sự được nhân dân làm tai mắt đã phối hợp điều tra, kết luận hầu hết các vụ án hình sự xảy ra trên địa bàn, có năm đạt 100% số vụ. Nhiều vụ án phức tạp, ly kỳ hoặc có yếu tố nước ngoài được kết luận đúng người, đúng tội và bị trừng trị trước pháp luật. Vụ giết rồi đốt xác sinh viên Đào Thị Hồng, xảy ra ngày 6- 9-2008, chỉ sau 3 ngày đêm liên tục, khẩn trương xác minh, đến ngày 8-9, Đội điều tra hình sự đã cùng các lực lượng bắt tên Kim Ki Jong (sinh năm 1982, quốc tịch Hàn Quốc, thuê nhà trọ tại Hà Nội) phải cúi đầu nhận tội… Đồng chí Hồ Sĩ Tiến, Trưởng Công an quận, trực tiếp chỉ huy điều tra, kết thúc nhiều vụ án lớn được tặng huân chương Chiến công hạng ba; đồng chí Lê Minh Tuấn, công an phường Dịch Vọng Hậu, dũng cảm bắt nhiều vụ trộm cướp có hung khí bị thương, được Thủ tướng Chính phủ tặng bằng khen…

Trung tá Trần Hữu Năng, cán bộ thi đua khen thưởng, tâm sự: Phong trào thể dục thể thao, văn hoá văn nghệ của Công an quận cũng rất sôi nổi; nhiều môn đạt thành tích cao như bóng bàn, cầu lông, tenis, bắn súng quân dụng, điền kinh, bơi… Năm 2009, tham gia Hội khoẻ Công an thành phố và giải cán bộ công nhân viên LLVT quận, Đội tuyển bóng bàn đoạt giải nhất và nhì, Đội tuyển bắn súng đoạt giải nhất toàn đoàn, nhất đồng đội nữ, nhất đơn nữ, nhì đồng đội nam. Hội thao điều lệnh năm 2009, đội của quận đoạt giải nhất khối quận của thành phố.
